The Tiger 8th grade Navy team played a tough game at Highland Park on Tuesday night. The Tigers fought hard, including putting up a shut out in the 2nd half, but came up short. The offense was led by Jayvyn Hopkins, who had some tough runs through the heart of the defense. The defense was led by Jacobi Balous, who had a knock out hit on the night.
The Tiger 7th grade Orange team was on the road against Highland Park on Tuesday night. They fought hard and showed a lot of heart to pull within 6 points in the 3rd quarter. The offense was led by Michael Joseph, who caught multiple passes including a 70 yard touchdown pass from Trenton Thomas. The defense was led by Cameron Bonds, who was a tackling machine.
The Orange Tiger team started the game with a defensive attack type of mindset. The Orange Tiger team had great stops to start the game out and fought hard in the first half. The Tigers would only trail the game 0-8 at halftime after having some ball handling miscues throughout. The Orange tigers would continue to show their resilance by showing no quit but all pride and heart to continue to fight the Highland Park Scots through great supporting defense but would fall behind in the last minutes of the second half. The Orange team would end the game 0-22 but some key players of the game were Jaden Smith, Evan Mills, and Zach Cordero.
The Johnson Blue Team came out fast but suffered a close lose to Highland Park. The Johnson Defense played with attitude and tiger pride and forced 3 fumbles! Key players for this weeks game was Aarone Ndiaye, Albert Rodriguez, Warren Krandle, Sean Madkins, Jason Solis, and Kayden Williamson. The Navy Team show great effort, focus, and heart and looks forward to bouncing back next week.
