     SJMS has the largest chess club of all the McKinney ISD middle schools. Chess club meets every Thursday, during lunch periods, in the SJMS media center.  Chess club members also have the privilege of playing chess before school starts each day.  Many of our chess club members are also accomplished UIL chess puzzling contestants.
